Description

Eagle Nest II is a wood constructed Grenfell McQueen flush deck motor yacht designed by Thornton Grenfell. These vessels are becoming known as classics in the boating world, and this is one of the very best examples of her type. She has been meticulously maintained by her longtime skipper and Philbrook’s Shipyard in Sidney BC. She has always been boathouse kept and remains in excellent condition.
The vessel is boarded from port and starboard passarel or the swim platform up to a transom stateroom. There are Lexan wing doors to either side decks and port and starboard entry doors to the main saloon forward. From the saloon there is a starboard stairway down to the full width galley and a second stairway forward starboard down to guest or crew quarters for 4. This area has a Captain’s stateroom to port with a raised berth and a crew stateroom in the forepeak with two staked berths portside. Both berths suitable for guests should you only run with 2 crew. Aft in the short hallway is a head and shower stall.
The Main saloon has the lower helm forward and portside with an entry door from the outside deck and a lounge area aft with a very comfortable L shaped lounge along the portside and a table with three easy chairs inboard. The starboard side has a second entry door and a bridge access ladder and entertainment cabinets along the starboard side. Aft there is a hallway with a head and tub/shower portside and further aft is a unique convertible master stateroom/saloon that has a queen murphy bed on the forward bulkhead; this converts from a small lounge to a stateroom very quickly. This room has a large opening door to the aft deck and large windows in the door and bulkhead.
The aft deck has a canvass eyebrow cover. There is a stairway from the aft starboard of the main saloon down to the lower deck aft. There is a laundry room at the base of the stairway and entrance to the engine room forward. A hallway leads aft with a guest stateroom (2 single beds) and head and shower portside. A larger VIPs stateroom aft and starboard with a queen bed for 2 guests. There is entry to the lazarette from the room. The lazarette contains the water tanks, steering gear, storage and a chest deep freezer for all your frozen needs that can be accessed from the main deck aft. The entire interior is richly finished in teak paneling and cabinetry with carpeted flooring and Corian counters.
